The missing head of the Belarusian House in Ukraine (BHU), Vitaly Shishov, was found hanged in Kyiv on August 3. The body was found in one of the parks near the house of the deceased. The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, took personal control of the investigation into the death of the Belarusian.

Law enforcement officers will check all versions of the tragedy, including the version of murder disguised as a suicide. They will interrogate witnesses and check the recordings from CCTV cameras, conduct examinations, and investigate experiments to establish the circumstances of the incident.
Vitaly Shishov disappeared the day before, on August 2, in Kyiv. He went out for a run and didn’t come home. Law enforcement officers and volunteers were engaged in the search for the guy. Surveillance cameras recorded how Shishov went out for a run around 9: 00 and had to return by 10: 00. In the forest, where the guy usually runs, he was not found.
The Belarusian House said that Shishov, who moved to Ukraine in 2020, was being monitored. There were relevant reports of the facts to the police. The organization noted that they were repeatedly warned by both local sources and their own people in the republic “about all kinds of provocations, including abduction and liquidation.” Vitaly treated these warnings with humor.
