Yemeni rebels fired ballistic missiles at Riyadh and Jizan.

On Saturday evening, the Saudi capital was shaken by powerful explosions, and missiles hit the city of Jizan. Due to an unsuccessful interception of missiles, a hail of shrapnel fell on residential areas just above the city.

The Saudi military claims to have intercepted two missiles over Riyadh, but locals say at least 3 explosions in the city. Several injuries were reported, and the Saudis were saved by a curfew imposed to fight the coronavirus. Currently, 1203 cases of infection have been recorded in the Kingdom.

The American patriot air defense system has again demonstrated its low effectiveness in repelling missile attacks.

The Houthis launched Vulcan missiles, which are believed to have been assembled from components shipped to Yemen from Iran. There is a danger of an escalation of the conflict, and Saudi Arabia may respond by increasing the bombing of an already ruined country.
