XPeng Motors launches fifth generation Voyager X2 electric aircraft

The new XPeng Voyager X2 electric jet is capable of taking on board two people and moving them through the air for half an hour at a speed of up to 130 km/h.

The Chinese company XPeng Motors has released the fifth generation of electric aircraft. Its newest version is Voyager X2.

For the first time, a cockpit appeared in it, which is suitable for flights at a distance of a kilometer above the ground. The fuselage is made of carbon fiber: together with the battery, the total weight of the apparatus is about 400 kg.

The new electric jet lifts no more than 200 kg of cargo, so only two people, including the pilot, can be taken on board. The battery charge is enough to stay in the air for about 30 minutes, the maximum flight speed about this will be 130 km / h.

According to the developers, the standard autopilot system can control the aircraft on a predetermined route, adhering to a given altitude and speed.

Test flights have already been carried out at fairly high altitudes, the manufacturer notes.
