Xiaomi’s robot dog was shown on video

Xiaomi has published the first video with its CyberDog robot dog. The video is available on the company’s YouTube channel.

The video shows the final stage of assembling one of the CyberDog samples-judging by it; the model is assembled at Xiaomi factories with the help of robots. Then some features of the device are presented — the movement of the car on four legs, interaction with surrounding objects using sensors and cameras, the illumination of the robot dog.

In conclusion, a backward flip jump is demonstrated in slow motion. However, it is impossible to understand from the video whether CyberDog has completed it and whether it has successfully landed on robotic paws.

Most likely, the video is partially or completely generated on a computer. The caption in the corner of the video notifies that some of the functions of the robot are presented for advertising purposes.

Xiaomi’s robotic dog was announced on August 10. The device received four paws, a set of cameras and sensors, and a GPS module. The robot is based on the Nvidia Jetson Xavier AI platform. The cost of the new product is 9999 yuan.
