Xiaomi plans to produce electric cars

Recently, Huawei has been expanding its presence in the automotive industry, and more and more information about Apple’s first electric vehicle appears on the network. Now, according to sources, the Chinese company Xiaomi is also interested in the issue of car production.

What is known
According to a report by iFengNews, several sources recently said the Chinese tech giant is planning to build its own vehicle. True, while the project is still “raw”, that is, specific details (characteristics, design, etc.) have not yet been approved. However, according to a person familiar with the matter, the project will be led directly by the founder and CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun.

Back in 2013, he visited the United States several times and met with the head of Tesla Elon Musk. It seems that the idea came to him a long time ago, and now is the time to implement it.

So far, Xiaomi representatives have not commented on this information in any way, so for now it should be taken with a grain of salt.
