Xiaomi patented a smartphone that curls and bends on both sides

The US Patent and Trademark Office has published a document from Xiaomi: the company has patented a smartphone that extends on both sides.

The new device has a rolling screen, part of which can disappear inside the case: this function is provided on both sides – left and right.

The screen, which can change the aspect ratio, is well suited for watching various videos, and by expanding both segments, you can get a small tablet for drawing or reading e-books.

The patent images show that a multi-module camera is located in the back of the gadget. Its components are lined up vertically in the center of the body.

It is not known where the front camera will be located, it may be located behind a flexible display. In addition, a fingerprint scanner can be built into the screen area.

The timing of the implementation of such a gadget has not been specified.
