In the first half of this year, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40 Pro + and Redmi K40 Gaming Edition smartphones, and is now preparing another device with top-end features for release.
What is known
According to a Chinese Weibo insider, the device will be similar to the Redmi K40. The smartphone will receive the same 6.7-inch AMOLED display at 120 Hz and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.
As for the differences, the new product is credited with IP67 water protection, as well as a main camera with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main sensor. The device will also boast support for 100-watt charging and updated speakers.
The name of the device is unknown. Perhaps it will be Redmi K40S or a smartphone from the new Redmi K50 line. The novelty is likely to compete with the Realme GT Neo 2.
