The Chinese President noted that the leaders of both countries seek to achieve stable progress in bilateral relations.
The Chinese President XI Jinping believes that relations between Beijing and Washington are now at an important stage. This opinion he expressed on Saturday in a telephone conversation with the US President Donald Trump, according to the Agency “Xinhua”.
During the conversation, the President of China noted that both leaders seek to achieve stable progress in bilateral relations. According to XI Jinping, the working groups of both States are now actively working on the implementation of the consensus that was reached earlier this month in Argentina.
The Chinese leader also expressed hope that the representatives of China and the United States will be able to come to an agreement as soon as possible, which will benefit the two countries and the world.
Trump said he appreciates the excellent relations with the President of China and hopes that the results of the talks between Beijing and Washington will be beneficial for the peoples of both the US and China and other States.
On December 1, Trump and XI Jinping at the G20 summit in Argentina agreed to make joint efforts to conclude an agreement between the two States, which would allow to stop the escalation of bilateral trade and economic contradictions. The head of the White House said that he agreed not to raise tariffs from 10% to 25% for Chinese products totaling $200 billion. From January 1 to March 31, the parties will negotiate on relevant issues and if consensus can complete trade wars.
