The former national security adviser was scheduled to address in the House of Representative on Thursday but declined,
President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser John Bolton is ready to testify in an impeachment investigation if a Federal court confirms the right of Congress to request testimony with subpoenas, the Washington Post reported.
Bolton was scheduled to appear before House committees on Thursday but did not show up. The summons was not sent to him.
According to the Washington Post, citing sources familiar with the situation, Bolton does not want to cooperate with the investigation in the absence of a court decision on the dispute between the administration and Congress over the right of lawmakers to compel witnesses to testify.
