WHO will health-coronavirus-who-resolution/eu-resolution-on-pandemic-adopted-at-who-assembly-official-idUSKBN22V1RS“>evaluate the international response to the COVID-19 epidemic. To stop the next outbreak of dangerous diseases says a resolution adopted by a subordinate organization of the World Health Assembly.

The resolution on the need for an investigation — or an “impartial, independent and comprehensive assessment” of the international response to COVID-19 — was adopted by the 73rd World Health Assembly.

The meetings are attended by representatives of countries participating in the World Health Organization. The document was introduced by the European Union and supported by 100 participating countries.

However, the document does not mention China and there is no call to determine the source of the spread of a new type of coronavirus. The purpose of the resolution is to determine the response of states to a pandemic in order to deal more effectively with dangerous diseases in the future.

The Chinese government has also approved an investigation but will be ready to provide all the necessary data only after the epidemic is over.
