WHO decided to check the “adequacy” of Belarus’ measures against coronavirus

The World Health Organization (WHO) mission arrived in Belarus to assess the situation with coronavirus and the “adequacy” of measures taken in the country to counteract the infection, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Health reported.

“The WHO mission arrived in Belarus on the evening of April 7. The delegation consisted of three experts. The official work of the mission will begin tomorrow and continue until Saturday, April 11. Experts will be allowed to assess the real situation on the spot, the adequacy of the measures taken, and analyze approaches to providing medical care,” the press service reports.

It is planned that specialists of the international organization will visit healthcare institutions in Minsk, as well as in the Minsk and Vitebsk regions of the Republic.
The WHO delegation arrived in Belarus at the invitation of President Alexander Lukashenko.
