WHO believes that the coronavirus pandemic will last for a long time

The World Health Organization believes that the coronavirus epidemic will last “for a long time.”

At a meeting of the emergency Committee held on Saturday, its representatives concluded that the pandemic remains a special situation of international significance.

Experts expressed their appreciation to WHO and its partners for their efforts to combat the coronavirus. The emergency Committee of the organization noted the need to consolidate efforts to solve this problem and called on young people to use all possible ways to prevent the spread of the disease.

The next time experts will assess the situation with the pandemic in three months.

According to the latest data, more than 17.3 million people have been infected with the coronavirus worldwide, and more than 675,000 of them have died. Over the past day, COVID-19 was diagnosed in 289 thousand people, more than six thousand died.
