White House strengthens communications team on impeachment issues

The team will include the ex-attorney General of Florida and the former press Secretary of the US Treasury.

Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and former Treasury Department official Tony Sayegh will be part of the White House communications team on issues related to the possible impeachment of the President. A senior administration official said.

The investigation into the impeachment of President Donald Trump, initiated in September by Democrats in the House of Representatives, will enter a new phase next week. During this phase, the first public hearings of the investigation will take place.

Democrats believe that Trump has abused its authority and put pressure on the President of Ukraine to initiate the investigation for political purposes.
