Rapper Kanye West filed documents in Kentucky and Mississippi to participate in the US presidential election, Free News reported, citing the office of the States.
The Hill newspaper recalled that West, as an independent candidate, managed to get support to run for President in the States of Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, and Vermont.
In Illinois, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, Virginia, Wyoming, and Arizona, he failed to get on the ballot, and in Wisconsin and West Virginia, lawsuits are still underway on this issue.
Previously, West announced his intention to run for President of the United States as an independent candidate. His wife and socialite Kim Kardashian, as well as the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, have already expressed their support for him.
The US presidential election is scheduled for early November this year.
