War Thunder player published secret documents to prove the tank’s implausibility

One player from Great Britain did not like the elaboration of the Challenger 2 tank in War Thunder. Therefore, he wanted the developers from Gaijin Entertainment to change the characteristics of the combat vehicle in their simulator. To prove his point, he posted secret military documents on the game’s forum, according to PC Gamer.

User _Fear_Naught_ reported that he served in the British Army and was the commander of Challenger 2. The author of the post added that he served in the Tidworth military camp, where the Royal Armored Regiment is actually based. In his message, he stated that he considers the game tank to be undeservedly weak in defense against enemy hits.

The documents posted by the author were edited, some of them were painted over, and on the sheets there was an inscription stating that these files were officially declassified. Gaijin Entertainment contacted the UK Department of Defense directly. There, the developers were informed that the documents were still classified, and such publications were prohibited by law. Violators can receive up to 14 years in prison.

Gaijin Entertainment also noted that this is not the first time that players provide them with secret documents, so the developers know how to act in such situations.
