Volkswagen unveils ID.X

After the release of the ID.3 electric car in 2019, information began to appear on the network that Volkswagen was also preparing a “charged” version of the car. And now, two years later, the company officially presented it.

The novelty was named ID.X. The concept of the electric car was personally shown by Volkswagen CEO Ralf Brandstatter on his LinkedIn page. The car received the same appearance as the regular ID.3, but at the same time, it boasts a weight reduced by 200 kg, all-wheel drive, and an electric unit that produces 333 hp. or 245 kilowatts. This is even more than the fellows in the Audi Q4 concern 50 e-tron quattro (299 hp) and Skoda Enyaq RS iV (306 hp). Thanks to this combination, the car reduced the acceleration to “hundreds” to 5.3 seconds. The novelty is powered by a 77 kWh battery. By the way, the ID.X also got a special drift mode, like the Volkswagen Golf R.

Unfortunately, Ralph Brandstatter has not yet announced the release date and price of the production version of ID.X.
