Vivo patented a smartphone with a flying camera

Manufacturers continue to experiment with smartphone cameras. This time the company Vivo distinguished itself.

Our colleagues from LetsGoDigital discovered a patent for an unusual smartphone of the brand in the database of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Externally, the device looks like a regular tube, but it has a retractable design at the top. It contains a compact drone with two cameras (one looks up and the other to the side) and three infrared sensors. Thanks to this, it is possible to take photographs from the air.

By the way, the idea of aerial selfies is no longer new. At one time, AirSelfie released the AIR PIX drone specifically for this, but Vivo went even further and installed it in a smartphone. Naturally, such an apparatus exists only on paper. It is unlikely that it will enter the market.
