Vivo announced the expansion of support for flagship smartphones to three years

The other day we wrote that OPPO is expanding support for the flagship Find X3 smartphones. Now a similar decision has been announced by the related company Vivo.

The manufacturer is now also going to support its smartphones for three years. That is, the devices will receive two years of Android OS updates and three years of security patches. Unfortunately, we are talking only about the top-end smartphones of the X-series, which will enter the market after July. The new policy will apply to devices in Europe, India and Australia.

“The flagship X-series phones are equipped with advanced hardware and are designed to last, and we want our customers to receive software support that lives up to their expectations,” said Yujian Shi, senior vice president and CTO at Vivo.
