Governor Northam said that businesses would be able to resume operations with security measures in place.
Virginia’s Democratic Governor, Ralph Northam, said that restrictions on coronavirus in the state would remain in force until May 14, but their easing may begin the next day.
“Everything you have done has changed the situation. We smoothed the infection curve, and our hospitals were not overcrowded,” Northam said at a press briefing.
“I am well aware of the enormous effort this has a cost,” he added.” Now we can start moving to the next stage of our actions.”
According to Northam, from May 15, businesses can resume operations in compliance with increased security measures.
