Vin Diesel deliberately provoked Dwayne Johnson for “Best Acting” in Fast and Furious

Dwayne Johnson seemed to have no idea what his colleague was seeking.

The conflict between the stars of “Fast and the Furious” has been going on since 2016. Not so long ago, Vin Diesel told reporters from Men’s Health how it all started. The actor noted that as a producer of a series of films about street racing, he wanted to squeeze the maximum emotion out of his colleague using a “tough walk.”

Dwayne Johnson’s character Luke Hobbs was introduced into the plot only in the fifth part of the franchise. By that time, the actor had been filming Hollywood films for 10 years. And still Diesel was unhappy with his game.

“This character, the character of Hobbs, was difficult to portray on screen. At that time, I was ready to act tough, but with the best intentions, in order to achieve the acting that was needed, ”explained Vin.

In hindsight, the actor and producer believes that he has 100% coped with the task. He admitted that he is proud of the impression Hobbs makes in the film.

Duane’s reaction to this interview was mixed. In a comment for The Hollywood Reporter, he admitted that he “had a good laugh” at the words of a longtime rival.
