Video: Police put the child in handcuffs in front of the mother

The Montgomery County Police Department, Maryland, has released a video of the abuse by law enforcement officials of a five-year-old child who was caught missing school.

According to CBS News, the incident took place in January last year. Police officers spotted the boy near East Silver Spring School and took him back, after which they discussed his absenteeism with the school administration and the child’s mother.

The footage shows how the policeman insistently calls on the woman to “beat her son” and convinces her that she “will not go to jail” for this. After that, the child was handcuffed and continued to berate him.

“Do you know what these handcuffs are for? They are for people who do not obey and do not know how to behave,” the officer told the boy.

Later, the child’s mother filed a lawsuit against the security forces, accusing them of causing psychological trauma. The police department said they were investigating the incident, but both defendants retained their places.
