Vettel does not want Hamilton to beat Schumacher in titles

Four-time Formula 1 champion Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) said he did not want Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) to beat Michael Schumacher in the number of championship titles. Recall that Schumacher is the most titled driver in the history of F1, he has seven championships on his account, Hamilton has one less title.

“I was hoping that I would be able to take a few championships from Lewis so that Michael’s record remained unbeatable. Of course, I myself wanted to achieve success, even more than Schumacher achieved. Unfortunately, I did not succeed, but I am a mature enough pilot to determine the reasons and move on, “– GP Blog quotes Vettel.

After three stages of the 2020 season, Vettel has nine points. His partner Charles Leclair has 18 points.
