Bloomberg has published a rating of “the most miserable economies in the world”, for the fifth time in a row Venezuela headed it.
According to experts, in 2019 inflation in Venezuela will exceed 8 million percent in 2019 against about 930 thousand percent in the previous year.
Second place is Argentina, the third place in the ranking is South Africa. The sixth place went to Ukraine with inflation of 17.3 percent.
“States continue to experience economic difficulties and demonstrate weak success in containing price growth and combating unemployment,” the rating’s compilers said.
In total, the rating includes 62 countries.
The leader of the list of “the happiest economies”, as a year earlier, was Thailand. According to Bloomberg, it is in this country low inflation is combined with the same low unemployment rate. Switzerland took second place, Singapore and Japan shared the third.
