Venezuela accused the US of meddling in its Affairs

The US intervenes in Venezuela’s internal Affairs and does so through other countries in the region. This is stated in the statement published on Wednesday, the foreign Ministry of the Bolivarian Republic of following the visit of the US Secretary of state Michael Pompeo in Brazil.

The paper argues that Pompeo arrived in Latin America to provide guidance to reporting to the WA governments “to intensify their aggression towards the Venezuelan people in the obsessive desire to achieve forcible regime change”.

In Caracas, they also said that the US is interfering in the internal Affairs of Venezuela, “using pressure and blackmail against the countries of the region.”
Pompeo arrived in Brazil to the first of January to attend the inauguration of the President of this country Jair Bolsonaro. During the visit, the US Secretary of state and new Brazilian foreign Minister Ernest Araujo discussed the situation in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua. Pompeo stressed that these are countries where people do not have the opportunity to express their point of view.

On Wednesday, the US Secretary of state went to Colombia, where he will hold talks with President of the Republic Ivan Duque.
