The White House on Monday was announced the final decision to return the admission to CNN reporter Jim Acosta, as a result ending the legal dispute with the TV channel, reports Reuters. The decision was taken after three days the judge in Washington ordered the temporary restoration of the journalist’s admission to press briefings.
Accreditation of Mr. Acosta was suspended after a verbal altercation with the US president at a press conference in the White House. When Donald Trump stated that he no longer intends to answer the reporter’s questions, he refused to give the microphone to the staff member, which was the reason for the withdrawal of accreditation.
Later, 13 US media outlets, including Fox News, NBC, The New York Times and the Washington Post, supported CNN, filed a lawsuit against Mr. Trump and some of his assistants.
