American B-52H Stratofortress strategic bombers flew over the Middle East on Sunday, accompanied by fighter jets of US partners in the region. This is stated in a written statement issued by the Central Command (CENTCOM) of the US Armed Forces, whose operational responsibility area includes the Middle East, South, and Central Asia and part of North Africa primarily.

“A pair of B-52H took part today in a multinational patrol mission in the Middle East to deter aggression and reassure partners and allies of the commitment of the US armed forces to ensure security in the region. Fighter jets of the US Air Force and many partner countries accompanied the American bombers at various stages of the flight, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar,” the communique says.

The command indicated that they regularly conduct such flights and exercises with partners in the Middle East.
