US Senator Mitt Romney was hospitalized after fainting

Republican Senator (from Utah) Mitt Romney was briefly hospitalized last weekend after collapsing and passing out. This, according to the newspaper The Hill, he told reporters on Monday evening.

“I fell, lost consciousness, but I’m already better,” the newspaper quotes the senator as saying.

Romney added that he received several stitches to his face at the hospital. The 73-year-old senator said that he lost consciousness while visiting relatives in Boston (Massachusetts).
