US Secretary of State arrives on an unannounced visit to Kabul

He will discuss the peace process with the Afghan leadership.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Kabul on Thursday for an unannounced visit.

Blinken will discuss with the leadership of Afghanistan the peace process in the country and the details of the withdrawal of American troops from the Islamic Republic.

Officially, the plans of the head of the State Department to pay a visit to Afghanistan were not reported.

On Wednesday, US President Joe Biden announced that he plans to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan in May and complete it by September 11 this year.
