The US air force struck a position of the Syrian army south of the city of Qamishli. One soldier was killed, Free News reported, citing state television of Syria.
According to the Ikhbariya TV channel, the Syrian military “refused to let the patrol of the American occupiers pass.” As a result, one Syrian soldier was killed, and two others were injured.
The Pro-government newspaper al-Watan said one of the wounded was an officer.
Washington has not yet commented on the incident.
