US hurricane season: what to expect this year

Tropical storm Claudette is approaching the United States.

According to the forecast of the National Hurricane Center, on June 18 and over the weekend in the coastal areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, heavy rains may occur, even flooding is not excluded. In some areas of Louisiana, up to 50 cm of rain can fall in three days.

Experts predict the development of up to 20 named storms, with wind speeds reaching more than 60 km/h.
