UN Secretary-General is concerned by the relations between the US and China

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres remains concerned about the growing tensions between the US and China, which is permanent members of the world organization’s Security Council, said the official representative of the Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric.

“This mainly concerns bilateral relations. But the Secretary-General has already expressed concern about the growing tension between these two powers, which are permanent members of the UN Security Council,” Free News reports the representative’s words.

Dujarric also added that the bilateral relations between the five countries (Russia, the United States, China, France, and the United Kingdom), as well as other major international players, “have a direct impact on the ability of the UN and its legislative bodies to make consolidated decisions.”

On Wednesday, it was reported that the US demanded to close the Chinese Consulate General in Houston. After that, it became known that the Chinese authorities are considering closing the US Consulate in Wuhan due to Washington’s demands to close the Chinese Consulate in Houston.
