Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov is convinced that the law enforcement system and specialized services of Ukraine should react harshly to the publication of an audio recording of a conversation between the fifth President of the country Petro Poroshenko and former us Vice President Joseph Biden. He said this on the TV channel “112 Ukraine,” the audio recording is available on YouTube.
Razumkov admitted that he did not have time to listen to the entire recording, and promised to do it at night. However, what he learned surprised him. “The squeeze and the information that I have is amazing, to put it mildly. The information itself and what offices it may have come from,” he said.
According to the speaker, the source of the drain is not so important. He believes that it is more important to establish whether what the interlocutors discussed on the tapes is true.
“The main question for me as a person, as a citizen, is whether it [the audio recording] corresponds to reality. If it does, then the consequences should be more than severe because there are more questions than answers today with these films,” Razumkov stressed.
On May 19, a criminal case of high treason was opened against Poroshenko. The reason was an audio recording in which, it is alleged, Biden offered the President of Ukraine a billion us dollars for the resignation of Attorney General Viktor Shokin. He was investigating the illegal activities in Ukraine of the oil and gas company Burisma, where Biden’s son hunter worked.
