The head of the UFC, Dana White, offered former two-weight champion Conor McGregor to fight Dustin Poirier in the lightweight division.
“We offered Dustin and Conor a fight, so we are waiting for a response from both of them,” White quotes ESPN with reference to Barstool Sports.
Earlier, Conor McGregor announced that he will fight Dustin Poirier on December 12, 2020. The published poster did not contain a single mention of the UFC organization
The first bout in mixed martial arts McGregor held in 2008. The 32-year-old athlete fought his last fight in January 2020, knocking out Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds. He has 26 fights in mixed martial arts, in which he won 22 victories and suffered four defeats.
The first fight between McGregor and Poirier took place on September 27, 2014, and ended with the victory of the Irishman by knockout.
