British boxers Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have signed a two-fight contract, ESPN reports concerning promoter Eddie Hearn.
According to him, the places and dates of the fights will be announced later since, at the moment, several countries are vying for the right to host fights. Both meetings are slated to take place in 2021.
In February 2020, Fury knocked out American Deontay Wilder and won the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight belt. Joshua holds four championship belts in this weight class. It is specified that the athletes’ first match will become a unification match, and in the second, the loser will be entitled to revenge.
In his last fight in December 2020, Joshua defeated the Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev. In total, he has 24 victories with a single defeat. Fury knows no failures. He has 30 successful fights. One of his fights ended in a draw.
