Two Chinese hockey players tested positive for coronavirus after returning from training in the United States, Xinhua reported.
The team trained in the United States to prepare for the World Cup, scheduled for March but canceled due to the pandemic.
“The team returned home on March 13, and none of the 11 members of the team had a fever when their body temperature was measured on landing. They were then quarantined for 14 days, and two tested positive at the end of the quarantine period. Now the hockey players are being treated in the hospital, both feel well, they have mild symptoms. The rest of the team is healthy, and additional medical supervision will be established,” the Chinese hockey Association said in a statement.
