Twitter will fight disinformation in a new way: if a user wants to like questionable content, a warning will appear on the screen that the information may be fake.
Users will now receive a warning that the tweet they want to like has been flagged as misleading.
Giving context on why a labeled Tweet is misleading under our election, COVID-19, and synthetic and manipulated media rules is vital.

Earlier, the social network introduced similar warnings when trying to retweet publications with controversial information or an article that the user did not read. According to the company, this reduced the spread of false information by 29%.
How exactly a warning when trying to like will affect the spread of misinformation is not yet clear.
