The social network claims that Marjorie Taylor Greene may be misleading readers with her tweet about vaccines.
Twitter has again suspended the account of Republican Member of the House of Representatives Marjorie Taylor Green for posts that were characterized as misinformation about COVID-19.
The tweet, which became the reason for the suspension of the account, claimed that the vaccines “do not work” and do not lead to a reduction in the spread of the virus.
The Georgia legislator’s tweet is still on the platform but is accompanied by a warning that it “may be misleading.”
A Twitter spokesperson told ABC News that the tweet was flagged in accordance with the social network’s policy regarding false information about COVID-19.
“The account will be in read-only mode for a week due to repeated violations of the Twitter rules,” a representative of the social network said.
