Turkey intends to send the first cosmonaut to the ISS

Turkey will soon announce whether Russia or the United States will deliver the first Turkish cosmonaut to the International Space Station in 2023. This was reported to Free News by the head of the National Space Agency, Serdar Huseyin Yildirim.

According to him, Ankara is currently negotiating with both countries. There is no priority or previously reached agreements between the parties. The head of the agency noted and clarified that the main criterion for choosing a country would be complete compliance with Turkey’s interests.
