The US President Donald Trump will decide whether he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Argentina, when he will receive a full report on the events in Ukraine and the Black sea. This American leader said in an interview with the New York Post, published on Wednesday
On Tuesday, the US presidential aide for national security John Bolton and white house press Secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed that Trump expects a bilateral meeting with Putin on the sidelines of the G20 summit. However, a few hours after that, Trump essentially did not rule out his refusal to meet because of the situation in the Kerch Strait.
“Trump said that he will receive a “full report” from the staff dealing with national security, about the latest Russian actions in Eastern Ukraine and the Black sea and then make a decision,” — said in the New York Post. “We’ll see, we’ll know what happened. I did not like this incident, and we will present a report on what is happening,” — said the American leader.
The forthcoming meeting of the group of twenty will be held in Buenos Aires from 30 November to 1 December. Trump is expected to travel to Argentina on Thursday.
