Former US Republican President Donald Trump will arrive in Texas at the end of June, where he will visit the country’s southern border with Mexico. This is stated in a statement issued by the former head of the White House.
“I have accepted the invitation of Texas Governor Greg Abbott to join him on an official visit to our devastated southern border on Wednesday, June 30, 2021,” the text reads.
Earlier, the Republican Abbott said that this week he will unveil plans for the construction of a wall on the border, which was started under Trump. “The Lone Star state will do what [US President Joe] Biden refuses to do – protect our citizens on the south page,” he wrote on Twitter.
The Biden administration has recently been heavily criticized in light of the growing influx of people who are illegally trying to enter the United States from Mexico. Political opponents, in particular, argue that what is happening was the result of the new head of the White House’s too soft approach to illegal immigration. In addition, the US authorities criticize the fact that underage illegal migrants are often kept in conditions that are not suitable for children.
