Trump wanted to count US citizens and failed

The President of the United States Donald Trump reacted to the failure of the Supreme Court to add the column “nationality” in the forms for census 2020. He wrote about it on Twitter.

“A very sad time for America when the Supreme Court of the United States won’t allow a question of “Is this person a Citizen of the United States?” to be asked on the #2020 Census!” — the head of state complained. He added that he asked the Department of Commerce and the Department of Justice to do everything necessary to complete this “important initiative.”

Earlier, writes The Hill, the Supreme court blocked the question of adding the column “citizenship” in the census, which insisted the American leader, due to insufficient grounds. According to the opponents of this idea, the inclusion of the column in the census forms will lead to the fact that millions of people will not be counted, because they will be afraid to admit the absence of American citizenship.

The fight against illegal migrants is one of Trump’s main campaign promises. He has repeatedly stated that as a result of the “chain reaction when after one of the immigrants to the United States moved his relatives in the country from other countries move “the worst representatives of society.” According to him, such sponsorship should be limited to spouses and minor children.
