Trump urged the UN to address the “real problems” facing the world

US President Donald Trump has called on the UN to address the “real problems” facing the world, he said in a video message at a high-level meeting to mark the UN’s seventy-fifth anniversary.

“If the UN is to be an effective organization, it must focus on the real problems in the world. These include terrorism, oppression of women, forced labor, drug trafficking, human and sex trafficking, ethnic cleansing, religious persecution, and ethnic cleansing of religious minorities,” he said.

He assured that the United States will always be a leader in the protection of human rights.
