Trump urged Russia, Syria, and Iran not to kill citizens in Idlib

WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump has accused Russia, Syria, and Iran of allegedly planning to kill civilians in the Syrian province of Idlib.

“Russia, Syria, and Iran are killing or preparing to kill thousands of innocent civilians in Idlib province. Don’t do this! Turkey is doing a lot to stop this massacre,” he wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

The General staff of the Syrian armed forces said on Tuesday that more than 40 villages in Idlib province had been liberated from terrorists in a military operation and called on civilians to leave militant-held settlements. In the list of liberated villages – strategically important points, such as the village of Jarjanaz ten kilometers from the city of Maaret-Nuuman.
