Trump spoke about the “light at the end of the tunnel” in the situation with the coronavirus in the United States

US President Donald Trump said that in the situation with the coronavirus “begins to see the light at the end of the tunnel.” The head of the White House shared his thoughts with reporters on Monday.

“We are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. And maybe shortly, we will be proud of what we have done,” the US President said.

According to Trump, a good sign may be information about a decrease in the number of deaths from coronavirus-related complications in New York.

Earlier, the US President had already promised Americans “light at the end of the tunnel.” Trump at a briefing on April 1 said that the country is waiting for two “very difficult” and “very painful weeks,” but then there will be an improvement.

The United States currently ranks first in the world for reported cases of coronavirus infection. In the country, more than 335 thousand people were infected, 9,5 thousand Americans died, and more than 17 thousand were cured. Trump associated high infection rates with active testing of the population.
