Trump said that the criminal situation in Chicago is worse than in Afghanistan

US President Donald Trump said that the criminal situation in one of the largest metropolitan areas of the country, Chicago, is “worse than in Afghanistan” due to the fault of the city authorities representing the Democratic Party.

Trump’s conversation with reporters about the situation in the city took place in the context of mass protests and riots that continue in some states. The President expressed the opinion that local lawmakers are “weak and afraid of the protesters” and therefore refuse Federal assistance to restore order.

“What about Chicago? Do you think they need help after this weekend? Do you know what the numbers are? Many, many people are injured, many are killed. I’m not talking about one or two-18 people were dead! I think even more. And how much will it be over the summer? This is worse than in Afghanistan,” Trump said.

“All (such cities) are run by the same liberal Democrats. And if (Joe) Biden gets it (the presidency), it will be all over the country. The whole country will go to hell. But we will not let it go to hell,” Trump added, referring to his main rival for the Democratic Party.

The head of state added that the issue of additional sending of Federal law enforcement officers to the city is being considered.
