Trump said that he would decide on participating in the US presidential election later

The former head of state stressed that he would first focus on supporting Republicans competing for seats in the House of Representatives of Congress.

Former US President Donald Trump intends to make a final decision later on his possible participation in the fight for the post of head of state. He said this on Tuesday on the Fox News channel.

“According to all the polls, they want me to run again. But we will see, we will think,” the former American leader said. He stressed that he would first focus on supporting Republicans who are vying for seats in the House of Representatives. Trump stressed that his support could “carry a lot of weight” to win a particular candidate.

Trump expressed confidence that the Republicans have a chance to regain control of both chambers of the US Congress following the results of the midterm elections in 2022. “We will decide that,” he added, referring to the possibility of running for president again. “I think we will perform well in two years; we will perform well in four years,” he stressed.

When asked who else, if not him, could apply for the post of head of the US administration from the Republicans in 2024, Trump replied: “I like many people.” He did not name any particular politician.

On February 28, during a speech at the conference of conservative circles of the United States in Orlando (Florida), Trump admitted that he could again take part in the fight for the post of head of state.
