Trump paid an unplanned visit to Iraq

The President of the United States and his wife met with the US soldiers, wishing them a Merry Christmas, said White House spokesman Sarah Sanders.
The Us President Donald Trump together with his wife Melania paid an unannounced visit to Iraq, where he met with the US soldiers. This was reported on Wednesday by White House spokesman Sarah Sanders on Twitter.
“President Trump and the first lady went to Iraq late at Christmas (December 25) to meet with our military and senior military leadership and thank them for their service, success and for their sacrifice, and wish them a Merry Christmas,” she wrote.

Sanders published a number of photographs of the head of state and his wife with the military.
Trump for the first time as President of the United States visited the war zone. Previously, he had repeatedly expressed his intention to go to one of the hot spots of the world, without indicating which country in question.
