The US President Donald Trump in his speech at the White House will make the Democrats a third proposal aimed at putting an end to the shutdown. According to CNN, citing officials, Mr. Trump this time intends to make some concessions in order to push the Democrats to continue negotiations. At the same time, there is no question that the President will retreat from his plan to build a wall with Mexico, the TV channel notes.

CNN sources also claim that Donald Trump will not declare a state of emergency to use Pentagon funds to build the disputed facility. It is expected that the US President will make a statement at 15:00.

Recall, the shutdown which began on 22 December 2018 affected about 800 thousand civil servants and has become the longest in the US history. The loss of the country’s economy reached $3.6 billion, the approval Rating of the President dropped to 44%. Shutdown had to declare due to the fact that the administration of Donald Trump and Congress are unable to agree on the funding for the construction of a wall on the border with Mexico.
