The Us President Donald Trump on Tuesday staged a public debate with the leaders of the Democrats in Congress over the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico and promised to stop the work of state bodies if they do not vote for the budget law.
“One way or another the wall will be built. I would not like to “close” the government, let’s see… we need a wall, we need security at the border, and the wall is only part of that. But it is really important… ” – he told reporters after a meeting with the leaders of the Democratic party in the houses of Congress Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.
Trump announced statistics, according to which in San Diego, El Paso and a number of other cities on the border with Mexico after the construction of the wall, the flow of illegal migrants decreased in places by more than 90 %.
Pelosi and Schumer took turns saying that the “closure” of the government is not in the interests of either side and that the American people do not deserve it.
