Trump in Florida: the problem of drug trafficking and Venezuela in focus

On Friday, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, is on a working visit in Florida.

In particular, Trump took part in a briefing by the US southern command on the problem of drug smuggling in the Caribbean region and a round table on the situation in Venezuela.

The US President said that his administration, working with other Caribbean countries, intends to take further decisive measures to curb international criminal drug trafficking, including those related to the illegitimate regime of Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela.

Before leaving the White House on Friday morning, Trump once again criticized his possible rival in the upcoming November presidential election – former Vice President Joe Biden. Trump said that Biden only “copies” his, Trump’s, economic initiatives, but is not able to implement them since he always supports increasing the tax burden.

On Thursday, likely Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden visited the state of Pennsylvania. Biden presented a comprehensive financial recovery plan and stated that the Trump administration’s financial support measures were insufficient during the coronavirus epidemic.
